On the edge

I have no idea what this plant is that has sprung up in the bed deserted by all radishes and arugula.

I stepped out with my coffee and camera early this morning with a lot on my mind.

I can't really tell you about it right now, but I will.

I am so thankful that God makes leaves in the shape of hearts. It helps to remind me that love is important in all we do.
Love is what can motivate us to keep going when we feel overwhelmed and frustrated.
Love is what sometimes makes us take chances even if we might fail.

Those little drops of water just around the edges of that plant made me think about the fact that when we seek God, he nourishes us and keeps us going.

I like being reminded of that in such a simple visual way.

Happy Friday Friends, make it a good one.

Singing Frogs

When it gets dark outside, I begin to hear the tell tale low throaty calls of frogs, who seemed to have been re hydrated by the recent rain we finally got.

They call low and deep and long, singing a symphony of sounds as they mingle around my pond; I hear them well as it is about 10 paces from my bedroom window.

They talk and talk and talk.
But that is not all they do!

They were very busy last night.

VERY busy!!

I cannot accurately enough photograph the unreal numbers of slimy strings of frogs eggs wrapped to and fro through my water plants.

But I tried!
Have a wonderfully delightful summer day.

There is just nothing like the sound of the pounding of a ton of horse flesh headed your way.

Different horses, different location....same rush of adrenaline!!

I told JP I would shoot as many pictures as he wanted as long as he kept the horses from trampling me!

I think we both got our moneys worth today!

We don't have pigs

This week and next week will be spent working with a delightful bunch of teeny-boppers on Bible Drama stories for our Vacation Bible School!!
These kids are already working so hard for me, and I am just pleased!

Today I decided to make a "slide show" to go along with the lead in narration of one of our skits!
It made our rehearsal time a little more stressful, as I used "our" time for my idea.

We still made it through though and conquered one more day of rehearsal!

Here is one cropped image of those I took today.
Can you tell from just this one clue which parable is being taught??

Make a guess then head over to Luke 15:11 for the answer!

A quick trip to a friends house gave me new fodder for my camera!

I thought I might be able to show you the fun tall grass under the trampoline, but got this jubilant girl running by instead!!

More gladiolas!
Large f/stop

smaller f/stop

Ooops I got that backwards I think! I mean the number is smaller but technically the opening is not?? Oh drat, I may never get that into my silly little brain.
Oh well, most of you don't care about that crazy camera talk anyway...do you???

Okay, I am gonna get.

Not much to say anyway!

Here's to... hoping for a nap!!
