A chair and a cake

My best buddy asked me to make a cake for her two year old's birthday party.
Since I love her... I agreed.

I thought it turned out really cute!!

You simply must try this white cake recipe.

I had a lot of frosting left over because I am a frosting over achiever.

So, I am gonna make another cake soon and photo document all of it to share the process.

You will be able to whip up this cake any time...no cake mix necessary!!

AND...

I ran over to an estate sale the other day and saw this chair tucked back in a corner.

Initially I was able to resist it.

Walking back past I made the mistake of pulling it out of the corner and sitting in it.

It is wide and squatty, and I love it!

You must look past its obvious imperfections to imagine what it can be.

I will find a wonderful fabric and recover it, then I will sit in it to open my mail.
